After much thought, consideration, and interest in public safety, air show officials have cancelled Saturday's edition of Wings Over North Georgia. JLC Airshow President John Cowman explained that the Richard B Russell Airport facility is not capable of sheltering the thousands of expected fans if weather got worse, and the flood hazards could make it dangerous for people traveling to and from the show. In addition, the FAA's visibility requirements have little chance of being met throughout the day in Rome, Georgia. Tomorrow's show is still on as of now. We'll keep you updated via Facebook and Twitter as we get more information on tomorrow's show.
