Training commenced earlier in November for the 2016 Canadian Snowbirds. The team is preparing for their 46th show season, after concluding a very successful 45th anniversary season just over a month ago.

The snow has started to fall in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, but the Snowbirds are more than used to it. Saturday evening, the team was seen de-icing their jets with credit cards as they prepared to fly over the 103rd annual Grey Cup Festival.

They're in full training mode for the 2016 season, and the new guys on the team have much to learn. On November 19th, the 2016 team conducted their first loops in formation.

However, the team has a lot of training left before they're ready to open up the 2016 show season in May. Saturday night marked the 2016 team's first public appearance as they flew over the Winnepeg Santa Parade, which is part of Canada's famous Grey Cup Festival. The team heads back to Moose Jaw this week to continue their winter training.
