Thunderbird F-16 Crashes After Air Force Academy Graduation

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO - A Thunderbird F-16 Fighting Falcon has crashed in Colorado Springs following Thursday's U.S. Air Force Academy Graduation flyover. ​

The pilot has been reported to be Thunderbird #6, Major Alex Turner. The 2016 team's Opposing Solo, Major Turner was tasked with demonstrating the maximum performance capabilities of the F-16. ​

Major Turner ejected safely from the plane, and has been reported to be okay. He's currently being evaluated by Air Force Academy paramedics.​

The cause of the crash is unknown, and no one on the ground was affected by the crash.​
