Royal Air Force Red Arrows Coming to United States for Fourth of July Celebration and EAA AirVenture Oshkosh

The Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, the Red Arrows, will be returning to the United States this July to take part in the capstone celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, which will be held in Washington D.C. on the Fourth of July. They will then spend the next three weeks in the United States before making their first ever appearance at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh July 24-26.

The Red Arrows’ 2026 United States appearance will be their first since 2019, when they embarked on an 11-week, 22,000-mile journey across both the United States and Canada. The team visited 25 cities, conducted 21 displays, and also completed 30 flyovers in an effort to promote the United Kingdom. The Red Arrows returned to North America in 2024, celebrating the Royal Canadian Air Force’s 100th anniversary with the “Maple Hawk” tour across Canada.

Fourth of July celebrations in Washington D.C. are expected to include “spectacular flyovers” from both American and allied aircraft, including the U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team, Royal Air Force Red Arrows, and more. The U.S. Navy Blue Angels will be in Jones Beach, New York July 5-6, and so we expect them to participate in Fourth of July celebrations as well, although this is not confirmed. The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds are not scheduled for any shows that week, also signaling a real possibility for an appearance.

Following Fourth of July celebrations in Washington D.C., there are no other appearances confirmed for the Royal Air Force Red Arrows prior to EAA AirVenture Oshkosh July 24-26, although this may likely change. However, it is important to note that this trip to the United States means the Red Arrows are not likely to appear at The Royal International Air Tattoo 2026, scheduled for July 17-19 at RAF Fairford, Gloucestershire. U.S. military performers currently scheduled for EAA AirVenture Oshkosh include the U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team as well as the U.S. Air Force F-16 Viper Demonstration Team.
